The Maharashtra government on Monday effected a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and assigning them new responsibilities.
According to an official order issued by the General Administration Department, senior IAS officer P Velrasu (2002 batch) has been posted as additional metropolitan commissioner of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). The move modifies an earlier order issued on June 16, under which Velrasu, then chief executive officer (CEO) of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), had been transferred as secretary (forest) in the Revenue and Forest Department.
