Central Railway has announced widespread cancellations, diversions, short terminations, short originations and rescheduling of trains following a landslide between Thakurvadi Cabin and Monkey Hill Cabin on the Lonavala-Karjat section, triggered by incessant heavy rainfall in Maharashtra.

Restoration work on all routes underway

Restoration of rail services on the Mumbai-Pune Central Railway route is expected to take several days after heavy rainfall caused extensive damage in the Khandala Ghat section, railway officials said on Monday.
