Plaster falls from 30-year-old Mumbra building, structure declared dangerous

Following the incident, plaster was found to have fallen from the building. Cracks were also observed in the walls and columns, while the remaining portion of the structure was reported to be in a dangerous condition, officials said

Plaster fell from a residential and commercial building in Mumbra’s Kausa area in Thane district of Maharashtra on Tuesday afternoon, with cracks reported in parts of the building and the remaining structure described as being in a dangerous condition, officials said.

The incident was reported at around 3.57 pm on August 18, 2026, in front of Eden Park in Tanwernagar, Kausa, Mumbra.
