Mumbai-Pune rail services hit by landslide amid heavy rains as Central Railway cancels and diverts trains

The landslide occurred between Thakurvadi Cabin and Monkey Hill Cabin on July 6, affecting train operations across one of the busiest railway corridors connecting Mumbai and Pune

Central Railway has cancelled 17 trains and diverted several others after a landslide between Thakurvadi Cabin and Monkey Hill Cabin on the Lonavala-Karjat section continued to disrupt rail traffic.

In its latest operational update issued at 8 pm on Tuesday, the railway said restoration work is continuing, but train services remain affected following the landslide that occurred on 6 July.
