In what could expose widespread irregularities in Maharashtra’s recruitment process, the state government has set up a high-powered Commission of Inquiry to investigate allegations of malpractice, paper leaks and answer-key manipulation in nine competitive examinations conducted by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC).
Headed by Justice Dilip Bhosale, retired Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court, the judicial commission is based at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) headquarters in Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). It has invited whistleblowers, candidates, student bodies and citizens to submit evidence, with the deadline set for November 16.
