Maharashtra SIR: Nearly 88 per cent enumeration forms distributed in state; Pune, Mumbai and Thane lag as rural districts lead

While the state has recorded high overall progress, some of Maharashtra's largest urban centres are still behind the state average. Pune, which has the highest number of registered voters in Maharashtra, has completed around 70 per cent of form distribution

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Maharashtra, on Sunday released Maharashtra's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) data, stating that nearly 88 per cent enumeration forms have been so far distributed in state.

The enumeration phase of the revision began on June 30 and will continue until August 8.
