Maharashtra Congress president Harshwardhan Sapkal on Wednesday accused the Central government of failing to fulfil its electoral promises, alleging that farmers across the country are facing severe distress as a result of rising costs and inadequate returns, reported PTI.
Speaking at a ‘Nyay Satyagraha’ protest organised by the Mumbai Youth Congress, Sapkal claimed that the situation for farmers has worsened significantly under the rule of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
