Maharashtra to make Marathi a compulsory subject in all state schools

Subhash Desai, a senior Shiv Sena leader, has stated that the government will bring a bill in the next assembly session about the same.

Maharashtra cabinet minister Subhash Desai on Tuesday said that Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition government will make Marathi subject compulsory in all schools from class 1 to 10 in the state.

Desai, a senior Shiv Sena leader who is also the Marathi Language Minister has stated that the government will bring a bill in the next assembly session regarding the same.
