Maharashtra weather update: Akola records 42.5 degrees Celsius as heatwave grips state

Among the hottest regions in Vidarbha, Yavatmal also recorded 42 degrees Celsius, followed by Wardha at 41.9 degrees Celsius, Chandrapur at 41.2 degrees Celsius, Gondia at 41 degrees Celsius, and Nagpur at 40.8 degrees Celsius. Buldhana also remained warm, with temperatures hovering around 40 degrees Celsius

Several parts of Maharashtra continued to witness soaring temperatures on Monday, with Akola recording the highest maximum temperature in the state at 42.5 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Vidarbha reels under intense heat
Yavatmal, which is among the hottest regions in the Vidarbha region, recorded 42 degrees Celsius, followed by Wardha at 41.9 degrees Celsius, Chandrapur at 41.2 degrees Celsius, Gondia at 41 degrees Celsius, and Nagpur at 40.8 degrees Celsius.
