Maharashtra weather update: Chandrapur scorches at 44.8 degrees Celsius as state continues to sizzle

Several parts of Maharashtra continued to reel under intense heat on Saturday, with Chandrapur recording the highest maximum temperature in the state at a scorching 44.8 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Other Vidarbha districts also witnessed severe heat conditions, with Gondia registering 44.4 degrees Celsius, Nagpur 42.1 degrees Celsius, Akola 41.8 degrees Celsius, and Amravati 41.4 degrees Celsius.
