Southwest monsoon officially withdraws from Mumbai on October 3

The southwest monsoon has officially withdrawn from Mumbai on Saturday, October 3, marking the end of the 2026 monsoon season in the city, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

Earlier, the IMD had said that conditions are favourable for the further withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from most parts of Vidarbha. The monsoon is currently weak, with rainfall distribution reported as isolated and very light over the region.
