Maharashtra weather update: Rains intensify as monsoon advances; Mhabaleshwar receives 53 mm rainfall

Large parts of Maharashtra witnessed warm and humid weather on Tuesday, with Akola recording the state's highest maximum temperature at 38.9 degrees Celsius, while the hill station of Mahabaleshwar remained the coolest location with a minimum temperature of 18 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Vidarbha remains the hottest region

Vidarbha continued to record the highest temperatures in the state. Akola topped the chart at 38.9 degrees Celsius, followed by Amravati at 38 degrees Celsius, Wardha at 38 degrees Celsius and Yavatmal at 37.4 degrees Celsius. Gondia recorded a maximum temperature of 36.2 degrees Celsius, while Nagpur registered 35.4 degrees Celsius.
