Maharashtra weather update: State records high temperatures; Akola tops at 45 degrees Celsius

Large parts of Maharashtra continued to reel under intense heat on Friday, with several regions recording above-normal temperatures, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Temperature in Vidharbha region
In Vidarbha, Akola emerged as the hottest location at 45 degrees Celsius, followed closely by Amravati at 44.8 degrees Celsius and Wardha at 44.4 degrees Celsius. Other cities such as Nagpur, Chandrapur and Yavatmal also recorded temperatures above 43 degrees Celsius.
