MahaTET cancelled after paper leak; six lakh aspirants left in limbo

Barely a week after setting the NEET paper leak right by conducting a retest, the government has another controversy on its hands with a similar leak in the Maharashtra Teachers Eligibility Test or MahaTET. Just a day before the exam was to take place, it was called off on Saturday after three people were found in possession of the question paper in Bhiwandi.
Within hours, CM Devendra Fadnavis ordered an SIT probe into the matter, even as social media erupted with furore over the incident. “It was found that some questions in the TET June 2026 question paper were found to be the same with the said people, and a case has been registered at the Bhiwandi Police Station.
