Thane: The route from Malshej Ghat, which is a vital link to Mumbai and other parts of the state via Murbad taluka, has been closed for vehicular traffic following landslide and boulder crash, police said today.

No casualty has been reported on account of the landslide and boulder crash which happened at around 10 PM yesterday, they said. Some boulders fell last night from the ghat due to heavy rains. Thus, as a precautionary measures and to remove the debris the police have shut the ghat route for the time being.
