Ganesh Visarjan: 2,574 Lord Ganesha idols immersed till 6 pm on day 5 of Ganeshotsav

The 10-day Ganeshotsav festival began in Maharashtra on Saturday, with idols of the deity being installed in homes and at public pandals across the state amid fanfare

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday said that the immersion of Lord Ganesha idols during the fifth day of Ganesh Visarjan 2024 was going on smoothly and up till 6 pm, a total of 2,574 idols had been immersed across various locations in the city.

Among the 2,574 Ganesh idols those were immersed till 6 pm include 2,553 Gharguti (household) idols, 16 sarvjanik (public) idols and 5 Hartalika idols, the civic officials said.
