An attempt to seek respite from the scorching heat by visiting a water park turned out to be a painful affair for Vikas Gangawane, as the 41-year-old sustained severe abdominal injuries at Tikuji-Ni-Wadi, an amusement park in Thane.


Vikas Gangawane had gone toTikuji-Ni-Wadi with his wife, Milan, and son, Sai 

The accident happened as a youngster crashed into him while on one of the rides at the park. Following the incident on May 20, Gangawane's wife and eight-year-old son took him to the Thane Civil Hospital in a rickshaw as the park authorities didn't have an ambulance to transport him.
