A man was arrested for using a forged e-ticket to gain entry into Terminal 2 of the Mumbai airport to see off his sister and her kids. He was caught by a CISF official and handed over to local cops

It seems that either the passengers haven’t taken the security measures seriously at the Mumbai airport or they aren’t aware of the consequences. This passenger too was one among them who only to ‘see off’ his relatives managed to forge an air ticket. In the wee hours of Tuesday, he was not only caught by the security personnel at the International terminal but also was arrested by the local police.

Maaz Ahmed entered the Terminal 2 (T2) on February 16, was successful in ‘seeing off’ his relative, and wanted to leave the airport premises. Ahmed, however, couldn’t figure out the way to exit the terminal and move towards the city side of the airport. Even as he was searching for an exit gate, at around 3.45am, a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) official noticed him moving aimlessly. It was then that that the official suspiciously started keeping an eye on him. Ahmed was seen moving to level three (Domestic departure’s) segregation point. Ahmed was then being followed. After reaching the west side segregation point, he told an on-duty person that he didn’t want to fly.
