Mankhurd to get a state-of-the-art 300-bed hospital in 2015

Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is all set to gift a state-of-the-art hospital with a capacity of 300 beds, a maternity ward and a high-tech operation theatre across seven floors to Mankhurd. The basement and four floors have already been completed of the under-construction hospital which is expected to be completed by May 2015.
The hospital is located in the Lallubhai compound campus in Mankhurd near an MMRDA Resettlement and Rehabilitation Colony. “Since this area had a requirement of a hospital, the Metropolitan Commissioner decided to construct one in the vicinity. The decision to construct a hospital was taken in 2013 and the construction commenced around June 2013,” said Anil Wankhede, Deputy Metropolitan Commissioner (Lands & Estate), MMRDA.
