Metro fare war: Maharashtra govt challenges HC ruling in favour of RInfra in SC

<p>The Maharashtra government has filed a special leave petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court challenging the Bombay High Court’s ruling in favour of Reliance Infra led- Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd (MMOPL) allowing the latter to implement higher fares</p>
The Maharashtra government has filed a special leave petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court challenging the Bombay High Court’s ruling in favour of Reliance Infra led- Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd (MMOPL) allowing the latter to implement higher fares - Rs10 to Rs40.
These fares were notified by MMOPL using provisions of Central Metro Act against the fares, Rs9 to Rs13, calculated by the state government using the concession agreement.
