Mira Road communal clash: Officials raze 'illegal' stalls in Naya Nagar, locals raise questions

Questioned by locals why bulldozers targeted only one area involved in Sunday night’s clashes, officials say they are merely following orders

Supposedly illegal roadside stalls in the Naya Nagar area of Mira Road which witnessed communal clashes two days back were razed by the civic body using bulldozers on Tuesday, officials said. However, locals told mid-day that they find it unfair that MBMC only conducted demolition in the Naya Nagar area and did not address similar issues in other parts of Mira Road.
