Locals to write to the police commissioner as construction work continues into the night

The Bombay High Court's direction to the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) seems to have fallen on deaf ears. Despite the court urging the MMRC to refrain from carrying out any construction or ancillary activity for the Colaba-Bandra-Seepz (CBS) Metro III between 10 pm and 6 am, locals have alleged that the same continues till early hours of the morning.
Ketan Mehta, who stays on Jamshedji Tata Road near Churchgate station, said, "It seems the MMRC authorities don't care about the court's directives. The contractor here has been violating the court's orders by continuing construction till 2-3 am. On Saturday at least, we were hoping that the noise pollution would stop by 10 pm, but it continued till 10.45 pm."
