Baramati MP and senior NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule has called for an immediate and transparent investigation into serious allegations of tampering in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) raised by a student.
Taking to her official X account, Sule highlighted the case of Muskan Shaikh (Application No. 250410782461), a NEET aspirant who has alleged that her Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet was tampered with and that the thumb impressions on the sheet do not match her own.
According to Sule’s post, Muskan claims that the OMR answer sheet associated with her application number is not hers. She also alleges discrepancies in her mother’s name and registration number on the official records. Alarmingly, the student stated that she was threatened by unknown individuals after filing a formal complaint regarding the irregularities.
“There has been tampering with her OMR sheet, which she claims is not hers. She also alleges that the thumb impression on the sheet is incorrect. Furthermore, discrepancies have been found in her mother’s name and registration number. Shockingly, Muskan states that she was threatened by unidentified individuals after filing an official complaint,” Sule posted.

Extending her support to the student, Sule demanded that the National Testing Agency (NTA) and other concerned authorities initiate a swift and impartial investigation. She emphasized that tampering with students’ academic records and undermining their trust in the system is unacceptable.
“Any tampering with students’ futures and their trust in the system must not be tolerated,” she said, underlining the urgency of ensuring transparency and accountability in the examination process.
The MP also criticized the NTA for alleged irregularities that, she said, are jeopardizing the careers of deserving students. “Such incidents raise grave concerns about the transparency and integrity of an examination as important as NEET. If students' answer sheets are being manipulated in this manner, it puts their future at stake and casts a shadow of doubt over the credibility of the entire examination process,” Sule added.
NEET is one of India’s most prestigious and challenging medical entrance exams. Allegations of tampering and procedural lapses in such a high-stakes exam have once again brought examination security and students' rights into sharp focus.
As of now, despite Sule’s public appeal, neither the National Testing Agency nor the Ministry of Education has issued an official response to the matter.
