Mumbai: 11 rescued from smoke-filled commercial building in Kandivali, no injuries reported

A Level-I fire broke out at a commercial building on Kandivali Station Road in Mumbai early Monday. The blaze affected electrical wiring, furniture and a temporary fruit stall. Firefighters rescued 11 people from a lodging house on the second floor. No injuries were reported

A fire broke out at a commercial building on Kandivali Station Road near Abhirai Hotel in Kandivali West, Mumbai, during the early hours of Monday, August 17. As per the officials, the incident was reported to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) Control at around 4:14 am.
According to the Mumbai Fire Brigade, the fire was classified as a Level-I fire and was confined to electrical wiring and installations, wooden furniture, tarpaulin, bamboo, and plastic materials at an adjacent temporary fruit stall.
