A 12-year-old boy died after allegedly falling into an elevator shaft from the 10th floor of Shamim Tower in Mumbai's Nehru Nagar area, according to local residents.

The incident occurred when the child was reportedly playing hide-and-seek with other children inside the residential building. Residents said the child was hiding near the elevator area and was leaning against the doors when they suddenly opened, causing the fall.
