Tunisha Sharma, a 20-year-old actress, committed suicide on Saturday. The actress was shooting on the set of daily soap, Alibaba: Dastaan-E-Kabool, in Vasai. According to the police, she reportedly went inside the washroom, attached to the make-up room. When she didn’t come out for a while, crew members called her on her phone. After receiving no response, the door was broken down and she was found hanging by a waist belt. The Waliv Police have filed an Accidental Death Report in the matter.

Sharma had come to the set for a shoot in the studio located at Kaman-Chinchavati on Saturday morning. “The crew members rushed her to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead. We got information from the hospital and officials were sent to sets,” said Inspector Kailas Barve from Waliv police station. “There is no suicide note. Everybody is shocked and not in a state to talk. Statements are being recorded,” he added. Sharma made her acting debut with Bharat Ka Veer Putra—Maharana Pratap as Chand Kawar in 2015.
