Gujarati actor and stage artiste Mukesh Rawal committed suicide by laying down on the tracks at platform number 3 of Kandivli railway station. A train coming from Virar ran over him, killing him on the spot.
Railway police found his body in a mangled condition on Tuesday morning. However, his family came to know about the incident on Wednesday afternoon. The reason behind the suicide is not clear, as no suicide note has been recovered.
On Tuesday, he left home saying he was going to a bank and then would attend a dubbing session. Later, he was also supposed to go to Ghatkopar for a show. &ldquo;But he left his mobile phone at home,&rdquo; said his cousin Vijay Rawal.
