Mumbai Airport conducts an anti hijacking mock drill

An Anti Hijacking Mock drill was conducted at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, (Mumbai Airport) on Friday. This mock drill was a combined effort of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Mumbai International Airport Private Limited (MIAL).
The Anti hijacking mock drill, that is conducted annually, was held from 4pm. Various agencies like MAIL, Airport Security Group (ASG), National Security Guard (NSG), Intelligence Bureau (IB), local police. This was one of the rare drills that had even Indian Air Force (IAF) and Indian Navy. The drill was conducted at the air-side of the terminal. Though the runway is shut for the regular maintenance every Friday, the drill according to Airport Official was conducted in a way that the flight operations remained unaffected.
