Mumbai airport suspends operations for half hour due to rain

'Due to low visibility, flight operations at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport were suspended between 16:04-16:32 hrs today as a precaution. The airport witnessed two go-arounds and one diversion to Ahmedabad. Operations have resumed and continue to proceed as per schedule,' read the media statement by CSMIA

Due to heavy rain, leading to low visibility in Mumbai, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) suspended operations for half an hour on Thursday as a precautionary measure, as per a press release by CSMIA.

The operations were halted from 4.04 to 4.32 pm. They have resumed now.
