The police have arrested a 25-year-old aspiring actor after he crashed his SUV into a stationary car in Versova. The incident took place at 3.30am at Lokhandwala circle as he was returning from a party with friends as per reports by the Hindustan Times.

The police said that he chose to take the wheel as was speeding when the incident occurred. He lost control of his SUV and crashed into a stationary WagonR car. The noise from the crash alerted security guards, who called the police.
The aspiring actor was arrested and a medical test performed showed that he was drunk. The Versova police have registered an FIR under section 279 (rash driving), 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees) of the IPC and 184 (driving dangerously) and 185 (driving by a drunken person or by a person under the influence of drugs) of the Motor Vehicle Act.
The accused was produced before the magistrate’s court on Tuesday where he was remanded to custody. He was later granted bail on surety.
