<p>In a shocking incident fuelled by old enmity, an attempt was made to kill a family by setting their house on fire in Dahisar&rsquo;s Ganpat Patil Nagar.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The incident occurred around midnight on May 14 in Gali No 4.&nbsp;</p>
<p>According to <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/mumbai-police-arrest-two-people-for-trespassing-at-salman-khan-s-galaxy-apartments-in-bandra-23549248" rel="nofollow">police </a>sources, the accused tried to set fire to both the house and a motorbike belonging to the complainant&rsquo;s son by pouring petrol on them.&nbsp;</p>
<p>While the concrete structure of the house prevented a full-blown tragedy, except for damage to a plastic rain shield on the door, the bike was destroyed.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Fortunately, the family escaped in time, averting a major <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/thane-anti-corruption-bureau-arrests-rationing-inspector-for-taking-rs-48000-as-bribe-23549438" rel="nofollow">disaster</a>.</p>
