Autistic boy goes missing from Colaba, parents struggle to trace him

More than a month after a 17-year-old autistic boy went missing from Colaba, his family is going out of their way to trace his whereabouts. A report in Mumbai Mirror said the boy, identified as Taran Gupta, is speech impaired and has a partial vision and he went missing on October 1 after he lost his way in the Colaba market.
Taran, a Colaba resident, is a student of the Jai Vakeel Special School in Sewri. The boy’s father Vinod has lodged a missing person’s complaint with the police and has also shared information about his son on various platforms. He said that a person, following the information posted told him that he spotted the boy at Bandra railway station on Saturday.
