With thousands of NEET aspirants set to appear for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test on Sunday, former MP Rahul Shewale has urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to immediately intervene and resolve the ongoing BEST strike, warning that a prolonged disruption could severely affect thousands of students.
In a letter to the chief minister, Shewale said the strike, which began at midnight on Thursday, has already disrupted public transport services across Mumbai and its suburbs. He expressed concern that if the strike continues until June 21, NEET aspirants may face major difficulties in reaching their examination centres on time.
