Launching a sharp attack on Uddhav Thackeray and his party's 25-year control of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the BJP on Wednesday claimed the previous regime lacked the political will to curb corruption. Speaking in the Assembly, Mumbai BJP president and Andheri West MLA Ameet Satam said the new civic administration had saved nearly Rs 1500 crore in just four months by cancelling what it described as inflated and unnecessary tenders.
