The Shiv Sena's proposal of allowing rooftop restaurants in Mumbai is facing a roadblock from its ally the BJP. The proposal was tabled before BMC's Improvement Committee for their approval on Wednesday but the BJP and opposition parties once again stalled the issue.

Corporators from the BJP slammed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC's) new rooftop restaurant policy stating that it will “disturb the culture of a city like Mumbai.”
