Mumbai: BMC chief inspects Kanjurmarg solid waste facility amid foul smell complaints

To review measures aimed at preventing foul odour from the municipal solid waste management facility in Kanjurmarg, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Ashwini Bhide conducted a surprise inspection at the site early on Wednesday, according to the BMC.

The civic body said Bhide spent nearly one-and-a-half hours inspecting various operations at the facility and reviewing solid waste management processes. She also directed officials to improve operational efficiency and strengthen mitigation measures where required.
