Mumbai: BMC grants permission at 109 locations for Bakri Eid animal slaughter

According to the BMC, the animal market for buffaloes and goats will be held at the Deonar Abattoir from May 17 to May 30

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has started preparations at the Deonar Abattoir ahead of Bakri Eid 2026, with arrangements being made for security, sanitation, medical aid, water supply and animal management, civic officials said on Friday.

According to the BMC, the animal market for buffaloes and goats will be held at the Deonar Abattoir from May 17 to May 30. Bakri Eid is expected to be observed on May 28 this year.
