Mumbai: BMC says no plan to make masks mandatory again, but experts advise people to opt for it

The number of daily COVID-19 cases in the city dropped below 30 in the last week of March, but the figure increased over the past few days

Masks in public places remain voluntary for now, as there hasn’t been a significant rise in COVID cases in the city, unlike Delhi, said BMC. However, health experts have advised the public to continue taking the precautionary measure.
 
The number of daily COVID-19 cases in the city dropped below 30 in the last week of March, but the figure increased over the past few days. On Monday, the city reported 34 cases. Cases have increased minutely, and it is not alarming, said BMC officials.
