Mumbai: BMC to start six more Covid-19 vaccination centres today

A total of 7,002 people got their first dose on Wednesday and 26,806 people got their second dose.

AMID the shortage of Covid -19 vaccines across Mumbai, the BMC managed to vaccinate more than 30,000 registered beneficiaries on Wednesday. According to the data, 33,807 beneficiaries were inoculated, of which 2,294 were between 18 to 44 years of age. No side effects were reported.
A total of 7,002 people got their first dose on Wednesday and 26,806 people got their second dose. Close to 1,000 people were vaccinated in two private hospitals in Mumbai — HN Hospital and Nanavati Hospital. The BMC said it is starting six more vaccination centres today. Matoshri Sports Club at Sundar Nagar HP (JVLR), BMC Community Hall (Jogeshwari), Aadhar Kendra (Vile Parle), Gadkari HP Videocon Atithi (Chembur), Yoga Kendra (Ayodhya Nagar), and Najambaug (Dongri) are the centres. Apollo Spectra in Deonar and Saifee Ambulance in Bhendi Bazar are two private vaccination centres that will also start today.
