Mumbai: Central Railway and Western Railway announce cancellation of several long-distance trains

The railways said that poor occupancy in most long-distance trains in wake of the pandemic prompted the decision of cancellations

Central Railway (CR) and Western Railway (WR) on Thursday night announced cancellation of several long-distance trains, including August Kranti Rajdhani Express, citing poor occupancy till June end. 

While 26 pairs of trains, have been cancelled on CR, about eight trains have been cancelled on WR.
