Central Railway (CR) and Western Railway (WR) on Thursday night announced cancellation of several long-distance trains, including August Kranti Rajdhani Express, citing poor occupancy till June end.&nbsp;
While 26 pairs of trains, have been cancelled on CR, about eight trains have been cancelled on WR.
&ldquo;Some of these trains had been cancelled or restricted till May 10 and now their cancellations have been extended till June-end,&rdquo; CR spokesperson said.&nbsp;
&ldquo;Due to reduction in passenger numbers in view of the pandemic situation, some trains have been cancelled and frequency of other special trains have been reduced till further advice,&rdquo; a WR spokesperson said.

Reduction in Frequency (from Daily to 4 days a week):- Train No. 02945 Mumbai Central &ndash; Okha Superfast Special will run on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday &amp; Friday w.e.f Journey Commencing On 07.05.21 to till further advice. Train No. 02946 Okha &ndash; Mumbai Central Superfast Special will run on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday &amp; Sunday w.e.f Journey Commencing On 09.05.21 to till further advice.
