Mumbai: Charkop Police recover 381 stolen and snatched mobile phones from across India

Charkop Police recovered 381 stolen and snatched mobile phones from different states between January 1 and August 19, 2026, using technical investigation methods. The phones, including Samsung, Vivo, Redmi, Oppo, OnePlus and iPhones, were traced and returned to their rightful owners

Mumbai's Charkop Police have recovered 381 stolen and snatched mobile phones from different states and returned them to their rightful owners as part of a special drive carried out through technical investigation.
Mumbai Police while issuing an official statement, said, “The drive was conducted from January 1 to August 19, 2026, on the instructions of senior police officers. The Cyber Officer and staff of Charkop Police Station used technical investigation methods to trace mobile phones reported stolen or snatched and recover them from various parts of the country.”
