Aspiring lawyers from the reserved category were in for a rude shock yesterday, when amid admission chaos, they were asked to submit non-creamy layer certificates immediately. As per rules, every institution can give admissions to these students, subject to submission of the said certificate.
Law admissions this year are chaotic with new issues cropping up every now and then. Admissions were stalled for prolonged time, thanks to questions raised by Bar Council of India (BCI) on approvals of many colleges from the state. Finally when the first round of admissions was held, there were several goof-ups ranging from candidates getting faraway colleges, to many not being allotted any seat. Yesterday, students from the reserved category were asked to present the certificates immediately.
