Pipes allegedly discharging water onto Juhu beach have resurfaced, days after being removed following mid-day’s report

Pipes allegedly discharging water from construction sites onto Juhu beach have resurfaced, renewing concerns over possible damage to marine life. Days after mid-day reported that the pipes had been removed following its coverage, marine ecologist Shaunak Modi flagged their reappearance at another spot along the beach. He also said pipes at the earlier location had been reattached.

On November 4, Modi, director of the Coastal Conservation Foundation and founder of Marine Life of Mumbai, posted pictures and videos on X showing pipes releasing water into the sea near Little Italy restaurant on Juhu Tara Road.
