The Mumbai crime branch detected a murder case by arresting an elder brother for killing his younger brother who used to harass family members after coming home drunk. To hide the murder he told the police that his younger brother had met with an accident and sustained glass injuries near his kidney.

The police arrested Jioan D'Souza, 28, a resident of Shastri nagar, Kanjurmarg East for killing his younger brother Jito Albert D'Souza, 24. According to the police the three brothers Jioan, Jito and Nizel, 31, stayed together in their Kanjurmarg home. "They had some properties that they had rented and used to get good rent out of it," said a police officer from the Mumbai Crime branch's Unit VII.
