Mayor Kishori Pednekar officially inaugurated the vaccination centre, Savitribai Maternity Home, Bhandup
It seems for some of our politicians, taking credit for work done is important, even in the midst of a pandemic. On Thursday, BJP corporator Sakshi Dalvi inaugurated a vaccination centre in Bhandup three hours before the official inauguration, by Mayor Kishori Pednekar of the Shiv Sena. Dalvi claimed that it was she who had written several letters to the BMC to start a vaccination centre there, and added that the administration should have informed her that the Mayor would inaugurate it.
The Savitribai Maternity Home at Bhandup west started vaccinations from Thursday.
