Mumbai: COVID-19 vaccine shortage in Mulund, seniors worry about second dose

T-ward gets 1,000 Covaxin shots on Wednesday for second doses, but no clarity on future supply.

AMID the prevailing vaccine shortage in the city, hundreds of residents in the T ward who took Covaxin have been left in the lurch. None of the vaccination centres in the T ward has had Covaxin doses since April 18. On Wednesday, the ward received 1,000 doses of the vaccine, which will be used to immunise people waiting for their second dose. There are 3,750 people in the ward waiting for the second dose.

Many of those waiting for their second dose are senior citizens.
