Mumbai Crime Branch busts drug syndicate, recovers drugs worth Rs 2 crore

Acting on reliable intelligence, the operation unfolded as the police received information regarding the possession of a commercial amount of the synthetic stimulant Mephedrone by two suspects

In a major breakthrough, the Mumbai Crime Branch's Unit 9, headed by Senior Police Inspector Daya Nayak, has made a significant drug bust, confiscating a substantial quantity of Mephedrone (MD) valued at around Rs 2,04,00,000. Acting on reliable intelligence, the operation unfolded as the police received information regarding the possession of a commercial amount of the synthetic stimulant Mephedrone by two suspects, Salim Haroon Rashid Khan and Imran Shoeb Khan.
“The dedicated team from Unit 9 swiftly mobilized to Adamji Jeevaji Chawl, Sewree Cross road, near Mukaddas Masjid, Sewree, Mumbai 15, where the suspects were reportedly located,” said Raj Tilak Roushan, DCP, Detection 1.
