Charkop woman loses debit card, then Rs 25,000 despite blocking it

A Charkop resident lost Rs 25,000 to cybercrime after money was withdrawn twice through her debit card, the second time being after she informed the bank about the first unauthorised transaction.
According to police, Rashmi Savardekar, 58, a resident of Bhabrekar Nagar in Charkop went shopping with her daughter at Inorbit Mall in Malad, on February 1. As per Savardekar's statement to the police, she paid for a couple of dresses at a clothes store with her debit card. Later in the evening, she received messages on her mobile phone about cash withdrawals from her bank account. She searched for her debit card but could not find it anywhere.
