Mumbai crime: Family of minor booked for extorting doctor who allegedly raped her

The Mumbai Sessions Court ordered the police to file a complaint against a minor girl's family, who attempted to extort Rs 5 lakh from a doctor accused of raping her.

The judge Sanjay V. Patil passed an order directing the Mulund police to lodge an FIR after Dr. Jayesh Katira challenged his charge at a lower court. Katira, who owns a hospital was arrested on September 2014 after he was accused of raping the 17-year-old minor girl, who was employed there. The complaint was filed after judge's order.
