"You look hot and sexy. Sleep with me once and I will fulfil all your demands." These words were uttered by a production manager with a multi-crore diamond firm in Andheri to a 19-year-old computer operator at the company.
And as if this wasn't enough, the firm's owner, yelled at her when she approached him to complain. The woman approached the MIDC police on August 9 to register a FIR against the two. The police arrested the manager on the same day.
Working overtime The 19-year-old is her family's breadwinner. On August 1, she was doing overtime; the company manager and other administrative staffers were present there at the time.

"Around 5.45 pm, a security guard told me that the production manager had called me to the storeroom. I went and asked him why he'd called me. He said it wasn't anything important. Then, he asked about work. He kept staring at me, top to bottom; suddenly, he held my hand and said 'You look hot and sexy. Sleep with me once and I will fulfil all your demands. You are very thin, I will make you healthy'," the woman told mid-day.
Threatened by pervert "I was completely shocked... He even warned me and said he would sack me from my job if I dared to reveal this to anyone. He also said he has many contacts in Mumbai, so I won't get a job anywhere here," she added.

An officer said the woman was really scared after being threatened. But she held her own and told the company's human resources department about the incident. They asked her to lodge a complaint with the company's Vishakha committee.

The woman went to the committee and was told that it would proceed once the owner was back. "When he returned, the committee met him but did nothing for me," said the woman.
Owner joins in She met the owner around 2.30 pm on August 3, when he returned and narrated the incident to him. But instead of taking action against the manager, he scolded her and said if she dared to file a police complaint, he would sack her. He said nobody would touch him as he was powerful.

The woman then registered a FIR at MIDC police station against the two under sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354(A)(1) (sexual harassment where personal demand or request for sexual favours), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC.
Naveenchandra Reddy, DCP (zone X), said, "We have arrested the production manager; the police are carrying out a detailed investigation into the matter."
